“Pssst, Lynx baby I have a surprise for you.” Aida ran her fingers softly through Lynx’s hair and smiled.

Elliott pulled out his phone and decided to go have a seat in the kitchen to give the two lovebirds some time to talk. He had only met Lynx a few times and it was weird to come by his old apartment and see someone else living there so he pretty much completely avoided coming by and only saw Aida at Mel’s and in the Underground. He didn’t dislike Lynx or anything but he didn’t really know her and he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable. So, he sat in the kitchen and played Fruit Ninja like the weeb he is.

When Lynx woke, Aida sat next to her and her smile grew as she got more excited about her news. “So I have been thinking lately. This apartment is full of great memories between the two of us. However, it also carries a lot of bad memories like the break in and stuff so I had an idea and I know I’ve been gone a lot but I promise you that it was not because I don’t want to spend my free time with you. Elliott and I have been looking all over town for something for that past couple of months. I should’ve been done a while ago but I want everything to be perfect and… I’m rambling I’m sorry.” She took a deep breath and ran her hand through her hair the way she does when she’s nervous. “Okay… so… um… I bought us a house.” The words came out almost as a question. She was still unsure if Lynx would like the gesture. Her mind was racing in stride with her heart as it pounded against her chest. The only logical response in her mind was to keep rambling and explain herself. “I-I don’t want you to think that this means we have to like get married and have kids or anything but I think in the future maybe we could but I think it’s about time we got out of Ash’s apartment building and the house is a lot closer to the bookshop and Mel’s and I want you to be able to go out and do something if you want. I feel bad when you’re stuck inside while I’m at work or school. I also think it would be a really good bonding experience for us to do something as trivial and normal as decorating a house together.” By now Aida was smiling from ear to ear in excitement and sitting up so straight you could tell how excited she was.
